~SATURDAY SPIEL-MARCH 29, 2014~
Hi everyone and Happy Saturday!
Tuesday on the Spiel will be Michael Caruso from DeVanity. It was a pleasure and can not wait for you to meet him.
I have some great interviews coming up that you will not want to miss.
General Hospital was amazing this week. Emmy award performances by everyone involved in the stolen baby storyline. I was on the edge of my seat as I am sure you all were. Congrats GH on the ending of that one.
Thrady just got hotter on Days this week and I am loving! I am looking forward to more of the hot couple!
I was thinking of having one of the lovely daytime stars to switch it up and interview me, if anyone is interested...email me @thesoapspiel@gmail.com
Thank you for all of your support and follow us on twitter @thesoapspiel
Until next time, be well and take care!

~TALK TO ME TUESDAY~CARRIE GENZEL-MARCH 25, 2014
MY INTERVIEW WITH THE BEAUTIFUL CARRIE GENZEL (EX-SKYE, AMC)
AS SKYE CHANDLER, ALL MY CHILDREN
NOW
Welcome again to the Soap Spiel Carrie! Such a pleasure to talk with you always!
Thank you for having me back Lisa! You're always such an amazing supporter of mine and of course stepped up and run the Carrie Genzel Fan Club in Yahoo Groups, so thank you, xo
You are welcome! Here is the link for those you would like to join :)

What are you working on now?
Well, at the moment it's pilot season, the time when the networks buy a whole bunch of new shows, cast them, make one episode, and see if they want to actually make more of them, so it's a busy time. I also have started to get into voice over work and am also just getting back into doing print work after much encouragement to step back in the ring. Print is where I started as a teenager in this business, acting has and always will be my first love, but I love fashion and photography, so I've missed shooting, I'm excited to see what projects come my way, and recently had a really fun shoot, so I've caught the bug again to shoot more.
Any projects in the works?
My work in front of the camera is what I'm most known for, but over the past few years I've started to develop and produce my own projects and I, along with my producing partner, are about to take out an unscripted drama to the cable networks to pitch that we have been developing for a while now, we also have another unscripted project we've just started to develop, and a feature film screenplay we've optioned which is just being sent out to producers and studios. I like to keep busy and love to find a variety of ways to be creative within the entertainment community. The development and producing is a lot of work, but it's really exciting when you see a project form and come together, and I've met some incredible people along with the way who have become good friends. We've worked on a lot of unscripted or "reality" projects, and you really walk into people's lives and it takes an incredible amount of trust from both parties, but I've learned so much about so many things in areas I didn't know before, it's opened my eyes to a lot of new ideas, so regardless if we sell a show or now, that alone is worth it. Of course, it's always better to sell the show though ; )
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spare time? What's that? I'm only half kidding, with all of the things I've mentioned above I usually don't have too much spare time, but I do love to exercise, as much for my mind as my body, I love to hike, get out in nature, love to spend time with friends, go to the movies, try new restaurants, spend time with my boyfriend, and laugh, I try to work in as much laughing as possible.
What would you do for a living if you weren't an actor?
If I wasn't acting, producing either for that matter, I would have loved to have done something in fashion. I love clothes and fashion, maybe I would have been a buyer or curator, something like that. As an actor I always love going in for wardrobe fittings, it's the foundation of the character and the time when I start to see her forming visually in my eyes, so even in what I do today, fashion plays a big part in my work, so I think some type of work in fashion is probably what I would have done.

~SATURDAY SPIEL-MARCH 22, 2014~
Hi all and Happy Saturday! Sorry to have not posted the Saturday Spiel in a bit. Hope that you all are enjoying the shows and the interviews that I have had the privilege of doing.
Stay tuned for more as Tuesday's will be the beautiful Carrie Genzel (ex-Skye Chandler, AMC).
Please do not hesitate to let me know who you would like to hear from and I will do my best to get them for you. Also, positive and constructive criticism are welcome.
Share, follow, comment....I want this to be the place to be and for all to enjoy!
Days is what I am enjoying the most. Thrady is hot, hot, hot! Congrats to Jen Lilley and Eric Martsolf for making this enjoyable storyline come to life. I am hoping we see much more of them.
Enough of this whole Britt, Lulu, baby storyline on GH. It is heartbreaking and gone on much too long. It does look like it is coming to a close, thought because Liz found the letter Britt wrote to Lulu. Monday looks fantastic! I can not wait!
Luke is not quite acting himself lately. I am thinking Luke is Jerry Jacks and is Julian's benefactor. Where is Luke? Stay tuned and let's find out.
Please follow us on twitter @thesoapspiel and we are also on facebook!
Have a nice weekend everyone and thanks for joining us. These are only my opinions, we all have them.

~TALK TO ME TUESDAY~ MARCH 18, 2014
MY INTERVIEW WITH JEN LILLEY (THERESA DONOVAN, DAYS)
Thank you Jen for agreeing to do this again with me! Welcome Back to The Soap Spiel!
Thank-you for having me back Lisa!
In my opinion, Theresa and Brady aka "Thrady" are a possible hot couple. Are we going to see them hook up anytime soon?
I don't kiss and tell.
What would you like to see for Theresa?
I'm game for anything. I love Theresa. She's deliciously evil, slightly fractured, occasionally vulnerable, always layered, and unpredictable. I'm still pinching myself that I get to play her :)
What would you be if not an actor?
I'd be a teacher, a lawyer, an interior designer, or a criminal profiler for the FBI.
What do you do for fun?
I go to work :) I really try to look for the fun in everything I'm doing, because life is too short to not enjoy the ride, but I assume you mean when I'm not at work. I hang out with my friends, we get almond lattes and hike, or ride bikes at the beach, or go out for dinner and split desserts and laugh til it's closing time.
What are the similarities and differences between Maxie and Theresa?
Shoo, what a loaded question.
I think they both hide their emotional wounds and put up a façade of strength. People underestimate their cunning & calculating minds. At the end of the day, they're survivors, and as a result, they often put themselves before others without intending to hurt the people they truly care for. But most importantly, they are redeemable. ~TALK TO ME TUESDAY-MARCH 11, 2014
MY INTERVIEW WITH KATHLEEN GATI (DR. LIESL OBRECHT, GH)
Are there any similarities between you and the evil doc?
in action as Dr. O!
Welcome Kathleen to the Soap Spiel
Are there any similarities between you and the evil doc?
There are some similarities between me and Dr. O...I won't take any poo-poo from anyone!! And I do expect respect from everyone, the same way I would treat them. I also have a sense of humor (I hope) as she does, and try to find the humor in everything...dry humor! And I do have a lot of love to give...like Dr. O...but she has limits...I don't! :)
What advice would you give to up and coming actors?
Advice to anyone wishing to become an actor? Study! Study! Study! And get lots of theater experience. I studied for 10 years in New York...I don't know any short cuts!!
What would you like to see for Dr. O this year?
What would you like to see for Dr. O this year?
What would I like to see for Dr. O this year? Some personal happiness...with a man...with her daughter... and lots of fun escapades!!!
What would you be if not an actor?
I would work with animals in a zoo
Thank you so much for joining us! It is my pleasure to have you here. Good luck and best wishes in all that you do.

MY INTERVIEW WITH SANDRA DEE ROBINSON(EX-AMANDA CORY, ANOTHER WORLD)
(DR. CHRISTINE NELSON, THE BAY)

Welcome to The Soap Spiel and thanks so much for being here! It is certainly my pleasure!I grew up watching soaps. Another World was my first and I couldn't be more than 7-8. Loved it! Tell us what that experience was like?
I grew up on the show, too! Literally. All told, it was 9 years as Amanda Cory. It was wonderful to work with some great people like Constance Ford, who played my grandmother on the show ( I felt she took me under her wing and we had great talks, well, she gave great life advice and I listened!). I feel blessed that I was able to play a role over so many years, and I got to experience the richness of character that develops as the writers get comfortable with you, the actor and with the new boundaries that Amanda faced as she matured. What project/projects are you currently working on?
I have a reality show called Paranormal Tech that is currently on BLIP ( online) but is being shown to networks this pilot season, so.. we'll see! I am part of a team of investigators ( made up of believers AND skeptics) that is called in to check out reports of paranormal activity! I take on a bit of a journalistic role, researching some history and interviewing witnesses. Am I a believer? You'll have to watch! :)
What do you like to do for fun?
I love riding my horses in the hills, hiking with my dogs ( two German Shepherds), mountain biking and kickboxing. When I am feeling more mellow, wine tasting or lunch at the beach :) Creative outlets are drawing, writing or attempting to play the piano ( badly).
I have a passion for helping people see God's gifts in them ( I founded a company called Charisma on Camera to help experts feel like a rock star when they step in front of a TV or Video camera) and also the gift of nature. I am involved in wildlife conservation and truly think humans are healthier when we are connected to nature!
