MY INTERVIEW WITH RADIO HOST, CODY MURPHY (WEEKDAYS WITH MURPH)
Thank you so much Cody for being here!
I thought I would do something different, when I approached you, what did you think of my idea?
First of all, thank you so much for reaching out to me about this. I've been a huge fan of this blog for a long time, and
I, again, appreciate the opportunity. I honestly was completely shocked, but humbled, that you'd reach out to somebody
like myself, who, in no way, shape, form or fashion, is in the entertainment industry at all, so, just to know that I had
somebody out there who appreciated me and what I do enough to ask me to do something like this, is humbling in and
of itself.

Tell us a little about yourself.
Where do I start? Ha. I've been a soap fan for 10+ years. I originally grew up an ABC Daytime fan, but, recently have branched out to other soaps. I host a radio show called Weekdays with Murph, where I bring on actors from soaps to
chat with fans for about 30 minutes or so. I enjoy it, it's just a little hobby.

What made you start your radio show?
Interesting question. As I said, I've been a Daytime fan for a while, and an actor I follow on Twitter had tweeted out one day that she was going to be on a radio show. I thought, "Okay, I'll tune in, just to support her." I did, and as it turned out, I think
I actually ended up calling in to that show. After the show, I thought about it for a while, and went, "You know what? If they can
do this, I can do this". I mulled it over for a couple months, and started the show on August 20, 2012. We're about to celebrate our 2 year anniversary in a month and a half. I also recently brought on a co-host, Emily. I wouldn't trade anything about the show for the world. It's afforded me so many opportunities to chat with some of the sweetest, most down to earth people on the planet.

What shows do you watch?
Aside from General Hospital, I tend to be all over the map with my shows, anything from reality to drama. I have a policy with any new show, I'll give it at least an episode or two to see if I like it. That's actually worked out for me pretty good. Some of my favorite shows I still watch have started out with this thought, "Let me just watch this and see if it's any good". To answer your question, I LOVE Nashville, this new reality show on ABC called Rising Star, GH, of course, and the list goes on. We'd be here all night if I had to list them all.
Favorite interview?
That's like picking a favorite child, I can't do it. I will say this, though: A few interviews that are close to my heart are the first time GH's Kelly Thiebaud was on, and my interview with Kathleen Gati, who are two of the sweetest people you'd ever want to come in contact with.
Favorite character?
That's a tie between GH's Ava and Britt. Both Maura West and Kelly Thiebaud are complete sweethearts. With Kelly, you wouldn't think she'd be as sweet as she is simply because of the character she plays, but I can't say enough good things about her.
Least fave character?
Tie between Duke, and, I hate to say it, Sonny's been getting on my nerves a bit, lately. I used to be a HUGE Sonny fan, now, not so much
Any more dreams you need to accomplish?
I am actually in the process of writing a book called "Throwing Curveballs". I have a dream of seeing all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums by the time I'm 30 myself and I'm writing about my experience at every one, so I'm working on that, hopefully it will be finished within the next couple years, cross your fingers. Other than that, just keep doing what I'm doing with the show and hopefully some good things will come of that.
Thank you so much Cody for doing me the honor. I am a huge fan of yours personally and professionally. All the best to you always!
Thank YOU for asking me. Like I said, I've always been a huge fan of you and this blog and anything I can do to support you and your projects, I'm more than happy to.
