MY INTERVIEW WITH CARRIE GENZEL
(EX-SKYE, AMC)

Hi Carrie! Welcome back to the Spiel! Always a pleasure!

Thank you for having me back Lisa!

What are you working on now?
Well, I'm just about to start a film called THE LAYOVER, a comedy which stars Alexandra Daddario and Kate Upton and is being directed by William H. Macy. I'm really excited to be working with Bill, I've admired his work for many years, and can't wait to get on set with him. I'm not sure what I am allowed to say about my role and the plot, so we'll save that for another interview. I also have a thriller/horror film that hopefully will be out at the beginning of next year called THEY'RE WATCHING. We shot that in Romania and it's about an American TV film crew who goes on location to do a shoot and things don't quite go as planned. I'll keep everyone posted on that one.

What character that you played did you most identify with?

I think the character I've played that I most identify with is Skye Chandler. It's funny because I wouldn't have said that while I was playing her, but looking back I see a lot of similarities in her and myself. Skye, to me, was always misunderstood, and I feel that happens in my personal life. People seem to have a perception of who they think I am or what I'm about based on the characters I've played or just based on my outward appearance, and that usually brings them to the wrong conclusion. Skye got herself into a lot of trouble, going about things in the wrong way, I don't find myself in those situations, but I feel I do get misunderstood because people think they already know me and where I'm coming from without finding out who I really am.

If you were not an actor, what would you be?

If I wasn't an actor I would probably work in the fashion industry. I LOVE fashion, always have, and would love to work for a fashion magazine or as a buyer for a great boutique or store...ha, that's funny, I just realized as I was saying that that is the role I'm playing in my next movie, it's the best of both worlds! But, fashion has always been a passion of mine, I still to this day subscribe to 10 different fashion magazines and read them all cover to cover each month.

What made you get into acting?

What made me go into acting was the fantasy of it. As a little girl my Dad took me to the movies and I would sit in the audience and think I want to be a part of that, it just seemed magical, and it can be. I always had a very vivid imagination and would make up whole worlds in my head and act out the characters, and once I hit high school and joined the drama club, I knew I had found my tribe. I still get as excited today to go to work as I did the very first time I stepped on set, I just love the escape of it and telling stories.

Thank you for joining us once again Carrie. All the best!
Well, thank you Lisa for having me once again, you are such a supporter of mine and I appreciate it and you so much, you are one of the people who really make what I do so much more fun, so thank you!

~TALK TO ME TUESDAY-MAY 19, 2015~

                                                            MY INTERVIEW WITH LUCAS KERR

                                                            (CLINT, DAYS)

Hi Lucas, Thanks so much for joining me on the Spiel! Welcome!
Thank you very much! I'm happy to be with you today. I enjoy getting out and saying hi to the fans. So, thank you for having me. It's literally my pleasure... Ya know, I gotta say, DOOL fans are the best fans I have had yet! I'm really happy to have had the opportunity to experience the whole soap culture. It's been memorable!

What was your experience like on Days?

My experience had it's ups and downs. There's a lot of work to do in a short period of time so I had to stay disciplined and focused. Working with phenomenal talent made my life much easier. Most of my scenes were with the super talented Jen Lilley and Molly Burnett, so that was really fun. Jen Lilley was awesome! She really showed me the ropes of the soap world. Being an outsider, that made a big difference.

Is that the last we saw of Clint?

You never know! I guess it depends on how badly the fans want to see me back! Again, I'm thankful for the amazing run I had with Days. I take life one step at a time. So, if it comes back around, I will evaluate where I'm at and the opportunities at hand. It would be a pleasant surprise though.

Would you consider doing another soap?

Sure! I would consider it. It just has to be the right fit for me.

Are you working on anything now?

I'm set to film a new Sci Fi Thriller called THEM, sometime in August. I landed the lead villain role so that should be really fun. I'm also guest starring on CSI Cyber May 13th which I'm looking forward to checking out myself.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I feel like I'm always working! But when I'm not, I like to try new things. For example, I went formula 1 race car driving and I think that was one of the best experiences of my life. It was euphoric!

What made you go in to acting?

I just feel in my heart this is one of the things God made me to do. Growing up, my dad called me a superstar more times then I could count. So, when it came decision time to really chase after acting, I think my father naming me "Superstar" all those years was prophetic for what I would become. Many actors inspired me growing up like Tom cruise, Will Smith, and Brad Pitt. As I grew in my acting career that list has grown quite a bit.

Thank you once again Lucas for being here!

I loved it! Take care and thanks for having me!

~TALK TO ME TUESDAY-MAY 5, 2015~

                                    MY INTERVIEW WITH MARIE WILSON

Hi Marie and thank you so much for joining us on The Spiel!
Tell us about your appearance on Days as Bree.

It’s been fun portraying such an ambiguous character, and working with Daniel Cosgrove and Kristian Alfonso has been an amazing experience. EVERYONE at the studio has been so welcoming :)

What else are you working on at the moment?

I just wrapped on a short called “The Last Word” which is about how one family dealt with a deaf child and society's different opinions on how to deal with it in the ’70’s.

What made you become an actress?

It was a natural progression from modeling into commercials into television….I just did what I enjoyed and ended up where I did.

Favorite and least story line that you have ever worked on?

There were so many favorites!!!!…..I really enjoy storylines where there is a lot of action/mystery and the storylines that involve being outside when it’s below freezing are a little challenging for me :)

Guilty pleasure?

.always chocolate….

Favorite thing to do when you are not working.

Depends how intense my work schedule has been…..always like to escape into nature on hikes or read a good book or get a relaxing massage…..just some time to myself.

Thank you Marie!! It was a pleasure to have you here! All the best to you!!
